Here’s to us!!!
This is perfect for what I am doing now. Love the new life style but sometimes it is hard to say no to the burger & go with the dressing salad or to decide to get on the bike over laying on the couch with the cheeze-itz. It’s worth it to get on that scale at the end of the week and see it worked though (:
It was sunny and warm. The birds were chirping and the kids were playing. The playground was full of kids at recess. Every day it seemed like there was the same sections of children; the quite kids, the wild kids, the scared kids, and the sick all the time kids. I guess you could say that I was in the wild kids group. We were always trying to do or discover new tricks on the tire swings or slides that we were suppose too. We were in 3rd grade and one of our favorite past times on the playground would have to be when we would try to squeeze seven little girls through a cylinder slide while the teacher stuck her head at the bottom telling us “This is the last time girls, someone is going to get hurt. That is not what the slide is meant for.” However, we thought this was the best activity on the playground. It was what we looked forward to everyday so of course it was the one thing we weren’t supposed to do. We did it anyways. The boys thought we were seriously crazy and stayed on the other side of the playground on the football field. They would make fun of us all the time for trying to fit all of us down a slide and wonder why we would even want to do it. It was fun and we would laugh so hard. Now that I look back on this, going to a private school, this had to have been the wildest thing we probably did till we left to go to 9th grade. It was truly one of my best memories of recess. We called it “The Womb”. Oh wow that is crazy to think us private school girls got away with that too. We would climb onto the play set or whatever it was called and each one would line up and try to fit in the slide together and attempt to squeeze down through the slide. I know for a fact that 90% of the time we would do this I was one of the girls that laughed so hard she would pee her pants. This would lead to me spending the rest of the day wearing a coat around my waist or if I was lucky enough I could change into my gym shorts. Good times. Good memories.
Had a great weekend with friends & family. Starting off the week w/ allergy issues :( I was wondering how many of my WS girls watch Glee? My daughter & I started watching this weekend.
this is perfect lol
I love this! I should have brought this in to my lecture in WS420 on Gender Norms/Expectations and masculinities and femininities. Next time, next time.
“Men-ups!” a project by Rion Sabean featuring traditionally masculine men in traditionally feminine pin-up poses.
The fella with the giant beard is still my favourite. :D
